CTS uses a design thought process around safety, based on two main principles. Principle one is around the design of the disrupter which includes FEA stress simulations to ensure that the disrupter has a high safety factor. Non-Destructive Testing to ensure that the material of the disrupter is defect free. Ergonomic design based on real life scenarios thanks to the continuous input of bomb technicians around the world. The second principle is based on arming the bomb technician with the necessary information about the performance of the disrupter so that a more secure decision can be made.
